In Hollywood, the who’s who of A-List celebrities all know they have to always look their best when on the red carpet, otherwise the may have to face the bold and openly critical jury of E! Fashion Police.
George Kotsiopoulos, fashion stylist and co-host of E! Fashion Police, is one of the jury members who wouldn’t be shy to tell you whether you nailed a red carpet look or whether you are in dire need of a fashion arrest – especially since his co-anchors also include comedienne Joan Rivers, E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic as well as TV star Kelly Osbourne.
George was in South Africa over the weekend to meet with local media in Johannesburg before going on safari at Tshukudu Lodge, outside Johannesburg.
“I’ve been dying to come to South Africa and I love Johannesburg. It’s no different than Santa Barbara in California in certain places, then in others you can definitely see you’re in Africa,” he said.
Speaking about his role on the popular show E! Fashion Police, George admitted it was a blast to work with his co-stars.
“Who gets to go to work once a week with one of the funniest comedienne’s of all time? I do!” he bragged!
“Joan Rivers is one funny, candid woman and I have to pinch myself each time the cameras roll. She’s so much fun and we all get along with each other on set.”
George managed to visit Sandton City and squeezed in some shopping before heading back to the USA. “I have some African art in my home and I just love what Africa symbolises. I had to take back with me some uniquely African items of clothing and some memorabilia too,” he said.
Having previously worked with Oscar winner Charlize Theron, George said South Africa can be “very proud of her”.
“I’ve worked twice with her before and she style has definitely improved over the years. She’s beautiful and glamorous and she is no doubt of the the most beautiful women in the world right now!”
George promised the next time he returns to the country, he “has to see Cape Town”.
