On Sunday, AKA ended off his milestone event AKA Orchestra On The Square on a high note with the announcement on stage that his album Touch My Blood is now certified double platinum, selling in excess of 50 000 copies. His single Fela In Versace has also gone 4 x platinum.
After being in the entertainment industry for 10-years, AKA's Orchestra On The Square was a fitting milestone event which attracted 9000+ fans to the Sun Arena. The stage was designed with an “X” ramp symbolising his 10-year landmark, and the Supa Mega took his fans on a musical journey through his various catalogues.
The momentous occasion was filled with surprise appearances. AKA brought out Da LES to perform Heaven; Khuli Chana and PRO's younger brother DJ Citi Lyts to perform I Want It All; his longtime collaborator, Yanga Chief; and unpredictably brought out DJ Tira and Okmalumkoolkat for a No Rush Remix.
After his successful orchestra show, a picture of AKA and DJ Zinhle kissing backstage appeared on social media prompting fans to think that the exes are back together. For the past couple of months, there have been many reports that the parents have rekindled their romance and the smooch is the confirmation that many needed. Take a look at the snaps below:
Congrats to AKA for filling up The Sun Arena!
