Celebrity friendships are sometimes known to be fake. But Bonang Matheba and Lorna Maseko’s long-standing friendship is slowly changing that narrative, and has become one of the most celebrated celeb friendships in Mzansi.
However, after some people "observed" that the two were no sharing images and videos of each other on their social media platforms, it was assumed that there was trouble.
On Monday, Bonang took to her Twitter timeline, tagging Lorna Maseko in a screenshot of an email sent to her representative, Davin Phillips, who is the executive director of Celebrity Services Africa. It looks like the email, addressed to Davin, comes from a journalist who wanted to know whether Bonang and Lorna are still friends or not. It was speculated that the media personalities had a fall out at this year's DStv Delicious Festival, and that their friendship could be going through a rough patch.
Responding to Bonang's tweet, Lorna wrote: “Hilarious," alluding to the fact that she found the rumours to be laughable.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 hilarious......— The Hostess with Lorna Maseko (@Lorns_Maseko) November 19, 2018
This is not the first rumour of its kind. In 2016, comments on a blogger's site claimed that the BFFs were feuding because Matheba “had done her [Lorna] wrong”. However, just like she did on Monday, Bonang was quick to rubbish the claims.
Although the Being Bonang reality star has had friendships broken up in public, her tweet assures us that her friendship with Lorna is still intact, and that they are still set to serve friendships goals.
