From the creative announcements celebs use to let fans know of the baby’s arrival, to their baby showers, the first picture of the little one and then seeing the babies glamorous lives, it’s all captured for social media.
And it’s in these times you realise how special they are.

Ntando and Khaya Mthethwa
A year later they announced on their Instagram pages they were expecting their own bundle of joy.
Oyinkosi Mthethwa was one of the first South African celeb babies born in 2019.
The little boy is already rolling around in style, in his super pricey stroller.
Rachel and Siya Kolisi
In 2014 Siya legally adopted his siblings, Liyema and Liphelo. After their mom’s passing they moved around in foster care and Siya promised to take care of them when he found them.
In 2015, Rachel and Siya welcomed their first child, a son Nicholas. And by 2017 they were a family of six, when Keziah was born.
Rachel often gives a glimpse into their busy lives, and describes herself as the strict parent, whereas Siya is more relaxed in his parenting style.
And all four children are already seasoned travellers.
Nicholas and Keziah travelled half way around the world to support their father and the Springboks at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
DJ Zinhle and AKA
Kairo Forbes, born in 2015, is the hardest working celeb baby in Mzansi.
She promotes clothing for Naartjie and Earthchild’s kid fashion ranges and has appeared on two magazine covers.
Her Instagram account, which is run by her Glammy (this means glamorous grandmother), boasts more than 692 000 followers.
At her young age, Kairo already has a Louis Vuitton bag, enjoys island holidays with her parents and surprised all fans when she revealed her Dolce & Gabbana colouring pencils.
Nandi Madida and Zakes Bantwini
Their son is King Shaka and their daughter born in 2019 is Queen Nefertiti Nomthandazo Thandeka.
Lexi Van and Mandla Hlatshwayo
They reality TV couple announced in 2018 they’re expecting a bundle of joy and in April 2019 they welcomed their son.
His name Thingo means “rainbow”.
The first-time parents are sharing all their special moments with their baby boy with their fans.
Gail and Kabelo Mabalane
Their daughter Zoe has her own Instagram account with more than 36 000 followers. And her bio says all there is to know about this beautiful girl: “full time princesses”.
She also has a younger brother Khumo, whose fun and loving moments are captured by his parents and shared with fans on their social pages.
Jessica Nkosi’s Pink Feet
She made the big reveal on a magazine cover.
She gave birth to her first daughter Nawisa in 2018. And she’s co-parenting with the father Ntokozo Dlamini.
Zizo and Mayihlome Tshwete
They named their son after Mayihlome‘s late father, the politician Steve Vukile Tshwete.
The precious baby boy is named Vukile Maqoma Ragnar Tswete.
Thanks to social media we get to see how Vukile spends his time from playing with the family dog, enjoying swim lessons and spending quality time with his parents.
Preferring to keep her pregnancy private and not to create a social media account for her bundle of joy, she does give glimpses into her life.
With her partner, Denise welcomed her first child, a daughter in July 2019. And she has such a precious name – Leah Lilli-Rose Schlichtig.
Denise has spoken of what her pregnancy journey was like, and how giving birth was one of the most beautiful moments of her life.

Yes – they were expecting twins!
They welcomed their baby girls in February 2019, but it took a while before they released their daughters’ names and pictures. And was the wait worthwhile.
