Da King of African Rap AKA Kwesta is doing his bit to plough into the lives of some of the best performing learners of the previous year.

While education is not something we hear about a lot in hip hop, rappers such as AKA and Kwesta are encouraging and promoting education among the youth in various forms. AKA has consistently been pushing on social media and working behind the scenes to ensure that his #FeesForAllMegaConcert is a success. On the other hand, we witnessed Kwesta donating the necessary resources to make education less challenging for students who are less fortunate.

In partnership with the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, Kwesta has donated 15 laptops to the top achievers of the 2019 matric year who are from priority schools (schools in townships, which Ekurhuleni targets for social investment).

To hand over these laptops, the event was held in Alberton on Wednesday in a bid to honor these learners and the Khethile Khethile hitmaker was present and actively involved throughout.

Below are names of the outstanding learners who were awarded.
