Greatness recognises greatness!

The congratulatory messages have been pouring in for Zozibini Tunzi after she made history by becoming the first black woman to win Miss Universe while rocking her natural hair.

The moment has been on everybody's lips since Steve Harvey named Zozibini as the winner of Miss Universe this morning. The 26-year-old Miss South Africa winner stunned the world (and indeed the universe) with her beauty, intellect and compassion shone above everything else; helping her beat competitors from 89 other countries.

We've all been happy for her (even if Miss Nigeria was happiest of all!) and the tributes have been flooding in from social media all day. One of the first people to congratulate Zozibini was another South African who won Miss Universe recently: Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. The South African pageant queen is currently based in the USA (and is about to marry her American athlete hubby, Tim Tebow) but she took the time to show support to this year's hopeful when Zozibini competed in Atlanta.

When the South African beauty was announced as this year's winner, the first person to congratulate her was the former Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh, who said:

"South Africa we did it again, Zozibini I am so proud of you and welcome to the Miss Universe Sisterhood! You did it, we did it! I am so proud"

She also shared a beautiful dedication to the newest incumbent before promising to give her a checklist of things she needs to do when she's in New York City for the next year.

There's clearly something in the South African water because in the last three years, our Miss SAs have placed first, second and first again at Miss Universe.
