Basetsana Kumalo has faced the wrath of Black Twitter after a clip from an old interview with Zozibini Tunzi went viral
Zozi - who was crowned Miss Universe on Sunday night - spoke to the former Miss SA as part of her stint as a contestant on SABC 3's Presenter Search.
Although Zozi was yet to be crowned Miss SA, she spoke to Bassie with admiration and absolute respect.
But for many viewers, the interview was totally cringe-worthy and not a powerful moment between two beautiful black women
Watch the clip below:
It must be noted that Basetsana was elected as a guest judge on the talent competition and was therefore scoring both Zozi and her colleague on their interview skills.
But irrespective of the nature of the competition, many blasted Bassie for her 'rude and condescending tone' towards Zozi.
Even Ntsiki Mazwai dragged her for approach:
Some wondered if she would still address Zozi in the same manner:
Others, however claimed it was just a test from Bassie to see if Zozi could handle the challenges and pressure of live television.
Meanwhile, Bassie congratulated Zozi on her Miss UNiverse win in an Instagram post of which, interestingly enough, she disabled the comments
Do you think Bassie was intentionally rude or are tweeps creating drama out of nothing?
