Sophie Lichaba was announced as the newest cast member ladt werk and although not much was said abour her character, she has now iven us the tea.
She explains her character as a 'broken woman' who is a representative of all broken women out there. Her character is different from the other star-studded cast of convicts.
Speaking to TshisaLive, she expresses how excited she is to be acting in a drama series again. "It is one of the few SA programmes that are really well done. It is so different to everything else on screens. I have loved it from the moment I walked on set," she explains.
This role she will portray when she makes her first appearance on the show in January is different from all the other roles she has played and the excitement levels are at an all time high.
Sophie reckons that playing on Generations for a long time has made people think that she us one dimensional. This time, her role has nothing to do with being 'pretty and fabulous'. "I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something that stretches me," she proclaimed.
Speaking on her relatability with the character as she has also had her fair share of depression, she says:"As a woman you say you don't go through depression but when I talk to people, more and more I realise that I actually was at some point depressed. But I have changed and I am more comfortable with who I am."
Season 5 of Lockdown will start airing on 31 January 2020, only on Showmax.
