The topic of opening up the industry is one that never seems to die down in Mzansi.
On Sunday, the news of The Queen's new cast members set to join trended across social media, and of course many felt the need to share their opinion.
One Tweep retweeted entertainment commentator Phil Mphela's tweet announcing that former Isibaya actors Jessica Nkosi and Menzi Ngubane will be joining The Queen, commented that he is tired of not seeing students from AFDA on his screen.
In case you not sure what AFDA is, let us fill you in, AFDA is film, TV, and performance school in South Africa and a few students from the school have gone on to make it big in Mzansi.
TV and Radio presenter Andile Ncube, who also attended AFDA decided to share his opinion on the matter of AFDA students needing screen time.
Andile reminded his followers firstly that the "Entertainment industry is unique and promises you nothing".
"Honours graduates with distinctions go to same audition with a talent that didn’t even pass grade 8 and its may the best/lucky (whatever your beliefs) WIN,[sic]" shared Andile.
Andile also went on to add that this also "goes for any other drama graduate from different schools".
"If we say we went to school for this then surely when we get into the audition rooms side by side with those that didn’t we should be shoulders apart from everyone else?!?"
Of course, not everyone agrees with Andile's thought with many reminding the personality that there are just not enough new faces on screens, however, Phil was quick to point out that shows such as IsiThembiso were full of new faces.
