Baby Cele is not impressed by how the government has shown support to entertainers in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has left many industries shaken.

The actress is not only saddened by the state of the entertainment industry at the moment but she is disheartened by the lack of support they are receiving as actors.

Despite many production houses resuming with filming, cast and crew is left concerned at how they will be kept safe whilst at work.

Emotional and saddened by her co-worker Siyabonga Shibe's message, she shared it along with a lengthy text lambasting the country's entertainment industry.

She speaks about the sacrifices she made for her career that she loves dearly. From marriages to relationships, she has let all of them go because of what she believes is her calling. She and Siyabonga wish the government could see their hard work and pay them their dues.

"You know it’s sad, as I’m writing this my hand is shaking, my heart is beating too fast, I have been in this industry for more than 35 years because this is what I’m good at, this is what I’m passionate about, this is the only thing I wanna do, I can’t imagine myself doing something else not because I’m lazy but because this is my calling.

"I have lost relationships, marriage because of my career, i have been asked to choose between my career and marriage (not by my current husband of course) and I chose this Industry, others would say it was her choice, maybe they are right I don’t know but what I know for sure is that I’m in the right Profession in the Wrong Country," she exclaims.

Siyabonga who is also one of the country's treasured talents has put the government on blast for not taking to consideration freelancers who are left stranded as some do not qualify for the COVID-19 relief funds neither do they qualify for the unemployment funding.
