Oluwakemi Adegbuyi has set her sights on adding to her scoring tally for Nigeria’s Flamingos at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, after finding the net in successive group-stage matches.
Goalscoring run
- Adegbuyi registered her first goal of the tournament in Nigeria’s second group fixture, a 2-0 win over Puerto Rico.
- The 16-year-old forward scored again as the Flamingos defeated reigning champions North Korea 3-1 in Rabat on Friday night.
- She also had another effort ruled out in the match against the Asian side after officials identified a foul in the build-up.
Focus on further progress
The Nigerian attacker said she wants to maintain her productive form as the team continue their campaign.
“I hope to score more goals,” Adegbuyi said after the victory over North Korea.
“We came out to play against North Korea and we got the three points.”
