Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has sent birthday wishes to his deputy, Sam Ode, who turned 58, praising his record of public service and his role in the state’s development agenda.
In his message, Alia said Ode’s commitment to advancing Benue State had been highly valuable. He highlighted the deputy governor’s contribution to the current administration, saying his political and administrative background, gained through years of service in various positions, continued to benefit the state.
The governor also praised Ode’s support, collaboration and sense of duty within the government. He described his deputy as a reliable partner in efforts to deliver effective leadership, reinforce public administration and pursue development programmes intended to improve the lives of Benue residents.
“You are a leader with a strong grasp of grassroots politics and the concerns of ordinary people in Benue,” Alia said. “Your experience across different levels of government, along with your capacity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, has continued to support our shared drive to create a more united, peaceful and prosperous Benue State.”
Alia said he remained confident that Ode’s extensive experience would continue to be valuable in the coming years.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, said Alia urged Ode to sustain his commitment to Benue’s progress and to the welfare of its people. The governor also prayed for his deputy to receive continued divine protection, good health, wisdom and strength.
