Community intelligence and troop readiness

He said civilians and security personnel must work closely together, particularly in reporting unusual movements, identifying suspected criminal activity and flagging threats before they escalate.
During the same tour, Wase visited personnel stationed at the Forward Operating Base in Faskari, where he reviewed their preparedness for operations as well as their working environment.
He instructed the troops to uphold professional standards, discipline and alertness in carrying out their duties. The GOC also said the Nigerian Army would keep working to meet soldiers’ welfare needs and provide the logistical support required for their assignments.
Condolences over cleric’s killing
In a separate visit to Dutsinma, Wase conveyed condolences from the Chief of Army Staff to the family and followers of Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka, who was recently killed.
He appealed to residents to remain peaceful and comply with the law while security agencies investigate the incident. Wase said efforts were under way to identify those behind the killing and bring them into custody.
