Ayodele Alleges APC Is Planning 2027 Election Manipulation

Primate Elijah Ayodele, head of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress will move quickly to finalise plans to manipulate the 2027 general election, urging opposition parties to take immediate action.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele said the opposition faced what he described as an unusually sophisticated effort designed to remove rivals from contention. He warned that political parties outside the ruling APC had not yet shown sufficient urgency in preparing for the contest.

“If the opposition fails to act now, it will be pushed out through a highly advanced method,” he said. “It would be something Nigeria has not seen before. If they are not careful, it will happen and the opposition will be unable to respond.”

Ayodele said the alleged arrangements would be activated roughly 10 days before polling, arguing that the governing party was determined to secure victory by any available means. “The process will begin 10 days before the election, and every arrangement will have been completed by then because the ruling party is desperate to win,” he said, adding that opposition parties had yet to demonstrate the seriousness needed to prevail.

The cleric also claimed that President Bola Tinubu would pursue re-election with considerable determination. He further alleged that the APC would soon convene a strategic session involving people he called technical election riggers as well as certain electoral officials.

“President Tinubu will do everything possible to win because he is highly determined and focused on this election,” Ayodele said. “Many governors will not win through a free and fair process. I also see the APC holding a strategic meeting with technical riggers and some electoral officials.”

He said the public would not be aware of such a meeting, but alleged it would be used to complete the party’s election plans. Ayodele again called on opposition parties to begin preparing without delay.
