Nigerian online entertainer Broda Shaggi has reappeared on social media after months out of public view following a shooting during a filming session at Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State.
Shooting led to lengthy online absence
The skit creator had not been active online since March 2026, when he was reportedly shot while recording content at the bridge.
- The Lagos State Police Command said the incident was formally brought to its attention by the private hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos where he was initially taken for treatment.
- Information about the case began circulating online on March 13, prompting concern among social-media users, particularly his followers, over his condition and location.
Emotional Instagram return
In a video posted on his Instagram account late Tuesday, Broda Shaggi said the shooting took place on March 9. He called it “a day in my life I wished never happened.”
The post included brief footage showing him being transported to hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound, with blood visible in the clip.
Further account expected
Broda Shaggi said he would provide the public with a fuller explanation of the shooting on Wednesday.
