Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has singled out Roméo Lavia as the most overlooked player in the club’s squad, arguing that the midfielder’s ability is not widely appreciated.
Palmer backs Lavia before Sunderland match
Speaking to Sky Sports before Chelsea’s Premier League meeting with Sunderland on Sunday, Palmer was asked to identify the Blues player he believes receives too little recognition.
- Palmer selected 23-year-old midfielder Roméo Lavia.
- He said many people do not fully understand the level of Lavia’s talent.
- Palmer noted that he has known and played alongside Lavia since their time at Manchester City.
“He’s really good”
“Lavia, because nobody knows how good he really is,” Palmer said. “I have played with him since Manchester City, so perhaps I am a little biased, but he is really good.”
