Dangote Says N100,000 IPO Investment Could Grow to N1m in Two Years

Aliko Dangote, president of the Dangote Group, said an investment of N100,000 in the company’s ongoing initial public offering could potentially rise to N1 million within one or two years.

Speaking during an interview with Arise Television, Dangote said shareholders might also receive dividends denominated in US dollars, offering protection against any further weakening of the naira.

He added that the investment could provide financial security for people whose children are studying overseas, particularly if the Nigerian currency loses more value. Dangote said an investor putting in about N100,000 could become a millionaire over the next year or two while receiving dividend payments in dollars. That foreign-currency income, he said, would help protect families from the impact of naira devaluation and support expenses linked to children abroad.
