First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has raised the maximum amount available under its FastCash instant-loan product to ₦500,000, expanding the funding available to qualifying customers facing emergencies, unplanned bills or other short-term cash requirements.
The facility operates around the clock through the FCMB Mobile App and by dialling 32911#. Applications are completed digitally, with no collateral, documentation or guarantor required, and customers do not need to visit a branch. Access is determined by a customer’s account activity. Applicants must have held an FCMB account for a minimum of three months, while returning customers who meet the relevant conditions may receive repayment terms lasting as long as 90 days.
Tunji Lamidi, FCMB’s Divisional Head of Personal Banking, said the higher ceiling was introduced to reflect demand for fast and convenient short-term finance. He said unexpected financial pressures could emerge at any time and that customers expected their bank to provide a similarly immediate response. Increasing the FastCash cap, he added, gives eligible users more capacity to handle those needs through familiar digital channels, without forms or a trip to a branch.
Customers who have not reached the full loan amount available to them may also request a FastCash top-up, provided they remain eligible. The enhancement is part of FCMB’s broader effort to simplify access to routine banking and digital credit, allowing customers to manage their finances with greater flexibility through the mobile application and the bank’s USSD platform.
