Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has become the second quickest manager in the club’s history to record 100 victories, reaching the mark after the team’s 6-1 LaLiga win against Alaves at the weekend.
Flick reaches landmark after 131 matches
The German manager brought up his 100th Barcelona win in his 131st game in charge, placing him behind only Luis Enrique in the club’s all-time rankings for the fastest route to the milestone.
- Luis Enrique reached 100 wins in 126 matches.
- Hansi Flick achieved the total in 131 games.
- Pep Guardiola, the former Manchester City manager, needed 139 matches during his Barcelona tenure.
Enrique remains the record holder
Luis Enrique, now head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, remains the fastest Barcelona manager to reach a century of wins. Flick’s latest result against Alaves has moved him ahead of Guardiola in the historical comparison.
Appointment followed Xavi departure
Flick was formally named Barcelona manager on May 29, 2024. The 61-year-old took over after Xavi Hernández left the Catalan club in 2024.
