Thierry Henry has highlighted Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke as important impact substitutes for Arsenal ahead of Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Liverpool, saying the pair have regularly helped shift matches in Mikel Arteta’s favour.
Henry points to Arsenal’s bench strength
The former Arsenal forward said Eze and Madueke have demonstrated their value when introduced during games, rather than merely filling roles among the substitutes.
- Eze found the net against Bayern.
- Madueke came off the bench to score versus Nottingham Forest.
- Henry said both players are actively influencing matches and can alter the course of a game after their introduction.
“Eze scored against Bayern, Madueke came on and scored against Nottingham Forest, so they are making an impact,” Henry said. “They are not passengers, and usually they come on and change the game.”
Summer arrivals add attacking options
Both players moved to Arsenal during last summer’s transfer window, expanding Arteta’s attacking resources ahead of the club’s campaign.
- Eze joined the Gunners from Crystal Palace.
- Madueke arrived from Chelsea.
