- The awards ceremony was held on Thursday, August 13, at NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja.
- This year’s edition received 171 nominations, the highest total since the programme began.
- Thirty finalists were chosen across 15 categories after a staged judging process.
- Entries were evaluated for impact, originality, campaign reach and the strength of supporting documentation.
- Integrated Indigo said the honour would encourage it to pursue more ambitious ideas and client-focused solutions.
Award process and agency response
The ceremony was organised by Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), the publisher of Economic Confidential and PRNigeria. The 2026 event represented the broadest edition of the awards since their launch, with nominations submitted from across the country.
Of the 171 submissions, 99 passed the first screening stage. A further assessment reduced that group to 42 entries at the penultimate stage, before judges selected two finalists in each of the 15 categories. The review considered factors such as the results generated by each initiative, its creative approach, the size of its audience and the quality of evidence provided.
Bolaji Abimbola, managing director and chief executive of Integrated Indigo, said the result reflected the sustained effort carried out by the agency’s staff away from public view. He said the award represented more than a ceremonial title, describing it as recognition of the team’s creativity, commitment and hard work, as well as the confidence placed in the firm by its clients.
Abimbola added that the honour would motivate Integrated Indigo to develop fresh ideas, test the limits of its creative work and provide communications strategies capable of producing meaningful results for clients and society. He expressed appreciation for the recognition while saying it also created an obligation for the agency to improve further.
Jury comments and industry significance
Dr. Saudat Abdulbaqi, chairperson of the awards jury, congratulated both the winners and the finalists for their accomplishments and contribution to professional communications. She said the selections demonstrated the expanding role of strategic communication in strengthening credibility, trust and public confidence.
Abdulbaqi also praised the recognised organisations and individuals for combining high standards with creativity and measurable outcomes. She urged them to raise their ambitions further and help advance Nigeria’s communications sector.
The latest prize is Integrated Indigo’s second win in the Agency of the Year category, underscoring its continuing focus on quality and performance within the communications industry.
