Jimmy Odukoya, the Nigerian actor and senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, has publicly introduced Pastor Mo Jasmine as his wife during a Sunday service.
Marriage announcement
- Odukoya presented Mo Jasmine to members of his congregation, referring to her as Pastor Mrs Odukoya.
- He said he had been living alone since assuming leadership of the church in 2023, following the death of his father, Taiwo Odukoya.
- The pastor also disclosed that his first marriage had already ended before he succeeded his father as head of the church.
Speaking to worshippers, Odukoya said that life had been a solitary journey since becoming their pastor, adding that the Bible teaches that it is not good for a person to be alone and that he would find a suitable partner.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you for the first time Pastor Mrs Odukoya,” he told the congregation.
Church response and previous marriage
The Fountain of Life Church later posted photographs and videos of the couple on Instagram, congratulating its senior pastor and identifying Mo as the church’s First Lady.
Before the service announcement, Odukoya had not publicly discussed the breakdown of his earlier marriage. The news surprised many online users, who had believed he remained married to his former wife, Kemi Odukoya.
Jimmy Odukoya and Kemi Odukoya married in 2013 and have two children. The reasons behind the end of their marriage have not been disclosed.
