Lagos Ports Set to Receive 27 Vessels by September 20

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) expects 27 vessels to call at three major Lagos ports over the next two weeks. Its daily shipping update issued on Monday said the ships are due at Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea and Tin Can Island ports from September 7 to September 20. Ten of the vessels will carry containers loaded with assorted goods, while the others are scheduled to transport crude oil, aviation fuel, general cargo, bulk gypsum, sugar and salt. The NPA also reported that seven vessels and tankers had already reached the three facilities and were waiting for berths. Those ships are set to unload bulk urea, petrol and diesel. In addition, 20 vessels are currently handling cargo discharge at the ports, with consignments including bulk wheat, containers, fresh fish, general cargo, bulk fertiliser, pallets, bulk urea, bulk gas and petrol.
