Thirty-nine vessels carrying petroleum products, foodstuffs and other merchandise are due to reach Lagos ports from Monday through Saturday, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority’s latest shipping forecast.
The authority’s Monday Daily Shipping Position covers anticipated movements at Apapa Port, Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tincan Island Port. Eleven of the vessels are container carriers loaded with imported products for companies and consumers nationwide, while the other 28 are expected to bring petrol, crude oil, diesel, bulk urea and assorted general cargo.
The scheduled arrivals also include shipments of wheat, cooking gas, gypsum, sugar, maintenance supplies and bulk pallets for industrial and commercial use. The NPA said the vessels are expected to call at the three ports between Aug. 3 and Aug. 8.
Separately, 10 vessels have reached the port complex and are waiting for permission to berth. Their cargoes include petrol, crude oil, wheat, fertiliser, containers and other general goods.
Cargo operations remain underway at all three major Lagos facilities, reflecting continued maritime activity and commercial traffic. The authority said 21 vessels are currently discharging at Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tincan Island Port.
The goods being unloaded comprise containers, petrol, crude oil, base oil, wheat, sugar and general cargo, along with bulk pallets and other supplies. These materials are expected to serve industrial production, energy distribution and commercial activity across Nigeria.
