Naira Edges Higher to N1,326.30 per Dollar as Parallel Rate Holds at N1,390

The naira opened the week slightly stronger against the US dollar in Nigeria’s official foreign-exchange market. Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed the currency trading at N1,326.30 per dollar on Monday, compared with N1,326.52 on Friday, representing a marginal N0.22 gain. In the parallel market, however, the naira held steady at N1,390 to the dollar, matching last week’s closing level. The contrasting movements came as Nigeria’s external reserves climbed to $54.49 billion on September 11, 2026. The currency had also recorded further gains against the dollar on Friday.
