
The Nigerian naira weakened modestly against the US dollar in the official foreign-exchange market on Tuesday, ending at N1,329.15 compared with N1,326.30 a day earlier, central bank figures showed. The move represented a daily decline of N2.85. In the parallel market, however, the currency held steady at N1,390 to the dollar, matching Monday’s rate. The official-market fall came as Nigeria’s foreign-exchange reserves continued to expand, reaching $54.61 billion as of September 14, 2026. The naira had posted a slight gain against the dollar in the official market on Monday.
