A military air operation reportedly killed about 16 suspected terrorists in Pulka, within the Gwoza Local Government Area of Nigeria’s Borno State, after intelligence identified their movements in the area.
Operation in Pulka
- At about 12:09 a.m. on October 24, the 26 Task Force Brigade acted on intelligence indicating suspected terrorist activity around Pulka.
- An aircraft reportedly monitored roughly 40 suspected terrorists as they moved through the area.
- The individuals later halted in separate clusters close to a body of water.
- The stop created an opening for a targeted air strike on one group estimated to contain about 20 suspects.
- A post-operation assessment indicated that approximately 16 suspected terrorists had been neutralised.
The strike was disclosed in a Sunday post on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama, who said the operation followed intelligence on the group’s movements.
The action is part of continuing military efforts to locate suspected terrorist networks and limit their ability to move across Gwoza and other areas of Borno State.
