NNPCL Stations Offer N66/Litre Petrol Discount for Independence Anniversary

Nigerians can receive a N66-per-litre reduction on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at participating NNPC Retail stations, less than 24 hours after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) lowered its pump price to N1,370 per litre.

The state-owned oil company announced the promotion on Thursday as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary. The discount will run from October 1 through October 7, 2026, and will be available at NNPCL retail outlets nationwide, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Customers must use the NNPCL mobile application to qualify for the offer. The company said motorists should pay through the app at participating stations to receive N66 off each litre of petrol during the promotional period.

The offer follows a N25-per-litre cut announced on Wednesday at NNPCL filling stations in Abuja and nearby areas, bringing the price down to N1,370. The reduction came after Dangote Refinery lowered its gantry price for petrol to N1,325 per litre.

MRS filling stations in Abuja had also reduced their pump price to N1,370 per litre earlier. As a result, petrol prices in Abuja and surrounding locations now range from N1,370 to N1,450 per litre, before customers apply the temporary NNPCL discount where eligible.
