Legal practitioner and public affairs commentator Liborous Oshoma has criticised President Bola Tinubu, arguing that the administration was elected to address Nigeria’s problems rather than assign responsibility to earlier governments.
Speaking on Arise Television on Saturday, Oshoma said the Tinubu government has repeatedly pointed to past administrations while Nigerians continue to face severe economic pressures. “The President was elected to solve problems, not to shift blame,” he said.
He noted that voters supported Tinubu in the expectation that his government would tackle rising fuel costs, the depreciation of the naira, hunger and worsening insecurity. Instead, Oshoma said, the administration is approaching its third year without delivering the “Renewed Hope” promised during the campaign.
The lawyer said Nigerians have seen continued recriminations rather than the solutions they expected, and called on the President to accept responsibility for the country’s challenges and fulfil his election commitments.
