Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen was reportedly angered after details of separate accidents involving his partner and daughter became public, with the incidents adding to the pressure on the Nigerian international during a difficult period.
Osimhen’s pregnant partner, Stefanie Kim Ladewig, was involved in a road accident in Istanbul several days ago. Their young daughter, Hailey True, meanwhile, required surgery after suffering a broken foot.
Ali Naci Küçük, a leading Turkish sports journalist, said on the Dici Futbol YouTube channel that the player was deeply upset by the public attention surrounding his family.
“He strongly dislikes it,” Küçük said, explaining that the incidents involving first his partner and then his daughter, followed by widespread discussion of them, had made Osimhen particularly angry.
Küçük said the Galatasaray striker does not want his family to become a topic of public debate. He added that Osimhen played in the match against Gençlerbirliği while dealing with difficult psychological circumstances, and that the intense criticism directed at him also had an impact.
