Rangers Urged to Stay Sharp as They Defend 2-0 Lead Against MC Alger

Nigeria Premier Football League Chief Operating Officer Ayo Abdulrahman has urged Rangers players to ensure they are mentally ready for Friday’s decisive CAF Champions League second preliminary-round return match against MC Alger at Stade Ali-Ammar in Douéra.

Rangers travel to Algeria holding a 2-0 advantage from the opening leg, but Abdulrahman warned that the reverse fixture will present a far tougher challenge. “This will not be a tea party, and they will not welcome you with flowers. Keep your concentration, confront them strongly and adapt to the demands of the match, particularly when it is time to defend,” he said.

The team that prevails on aggregate across the two matches will advance to the lucrative CAF Champions League group stage.
