Chelsea midfielder Morgan Rogers has backed Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane to take the 2026 Ballon d’Or, saying the England captain has produced a season worthy of football’s leading individual prize.
Quick facts
- Morgan Rogers believes Harry Kane should receive the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
- Kane won a treble and scored hat-tricks in finals, while also delivering for England at the 2026 World Cup.
- The Bayern Munich striker registered 73 goals for club and country in all competitions last season.
Rogers said Kane had surpassed expectations through his output for Bayern Munich and the England national team. He pointed to the striker’s trophy haul, decisive performances in finals and scoring record during the World Cup.
“Harry Kane should win the Ballon d’Or,” Rogers said in comments to Hayters TV. “He achieved things beyond what people thought he was capable of doing.”
Rogers added that Kane’s treble-winning campaign, final hat-tricks, World Cup goals and continuing production for Bayern left little more for the player to prove. “That needs to be recognised,” he said.
Kane has been a major performer for Bayern since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur. The 33-year-old scored 73 times across all competitions for Bayern and England last season.
