Nigeria’s Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) said it restored power on the Ajah–Lekki 330kV transmission line on Wednesday, bringing supply back after a disruption affected the Ajah electricity network.
Restoration and substation issue
- At 12:40 p.m. on October 19, 2026, the Ajah 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation lost electricity supply on both the Egbin–Ajah 330kV Transmission Lines 1 and 2 following a system disturbance.
- TCN said supply to the Ajah–Lekki 330kV line was subsequently restored at about 3:18 p.m. on Wednesday.
- However, the gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) circuit breaker at the Lekki Transmission Substation could not be closed because of pole discordance, the company said.
