Bay Harbour unplugged sessions
After a hugely successful run in Johannesburg, these unplugged sessions are being launched in Cape Town this August! Proudly hosted at the Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay, these music sessions provide a very intimate setting where you can really get to know your favourite artists by candlelight, through their storytelling as well as their songs.

We are very excited to announce Johnny Clegg as the first artist of these sessions, which commence on the 15th of August and with a career spanning more than 30 years Johnny Clegg is one of South Africa’s most prolific musicians and performers.

In this show, among performing his anthemic hits, he will talk about the events in his life as well as the political history of South Africa and the world at a time which motivated him to write his powerful songs. It is a personal journey, which is uplifting, moving but also humorous at times.

“We are hugely excited at the opportunity to partner with Real Concerts in bringing The Bay Harbour Unplugged Sessions to the people of Cape Town. It is fitting that Johnny Clegg will launch the Unplugged Sessions at Bay Harbour, as the market and community are in sync with Johnny Clegg's values and indeed his songs and lyrics,” says co-founder Anthony Stroebel.

Selected food stalls will be open as well as a full bar, so come early, grab a seat (first come, first served) and unwind next to the warm fire. Limited tickets are available.

Time: Doors open at 18h00, show starts at 19h30
