A former Afrikaans soapie actor has asked a Western Cape court to show no mercy in the sentencing of his father’s killers, it was reported on Wednesday.
The Daily Voice reported that former “7de Laan” actor Pedro Camara testified in aggravation of sentence of three men, in the Worcester Regional Court on Tuesday.
Allie Mphumlo, 27, Ashley Manukula, 22, and Samora Manisi, 27, were found guilty earlier in the year of killing 69-year-old pub owner Abel Camara in December 2007.
They stormed into his Rawsonville pub and opened fire.
According to the report, his son testified that the men should receive a harsh sentence.
“Long after the blood is washed away and the bullet holes are plastered closed, the holes in our souls still remain,” he told the court.
The men would be sentenced on Thursday.
