Presented by local promoter, Canoc Productions in association with Channel O, this multi-platinum artist will perform at the Coca Cola Dome, Johannesburg on Saturday, 15 December 2012, thereafter at the Outer Fields, Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban on Monday, 17 December 2012 and ending the SA leg of the Carpe Diem tour with two concerts at the Grand West Arena, Cape Town on Wednesday, 19 December and Thursday, 20 December 2012. Loosely translated, “Carpe Diem” means ‘seize the day” and fans across the globe have been actively speculating for days online after Chris Brown posted an image featuring the words Carpe Diem and tour. From Belgium to Ireland and from Germany to the Netherlands, fans are a buzz about the news of Chris Brown’s next world tour that will begin on 17 November in Norway and continue to 12 major European cities including Stockholm, Stuttgart, Basel and Paris before touching down on African soil.

In 2005, show business natural 16-year old Chris Brown emerged from small town Tappahannock, Virginia. His career rose swiftly, as his promising skills drew comparisons to his idols Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
His self-titled debut album, which was certified double platinum sold over 3 million copies, making Chris Brown the newest American R&B sensation. He earned two Grammy nominations in addition to a nationally televised performance on Awards night in 2007 with Lionel Richie and Smokey Robinson joining them for a medley of their respective hits.
