Die Antwoord left many of their South African fans disappointed after they cancelled their performance at Jozifest over the weekend. It is reported that the group had to fly to America for the recording of the “Late Show with David Letterman”, which airs on Monday night.
Die Antwoord shared the stage with former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Sarah Michelle Gellar, and they will also get the chance to introduce their latest album “Ten$ion”, which has many people talking.
The hype for the group in America continues, as fashion designer Alexander Wang has used Yo-Landi Vi$$er and Ninja as the face of his new clothing range.
Band member Ninja told the Times live that he finds it difficult to understand why the Americans love them so much. He said American audiences did not understand Afrikaans, and he could say what he wanted on the Letterman show and the viewers wouldn’t understand.
Are you happy for the band?
