Former lingerie model Ilse Fourie has gone from sizzling on location to steaming up the kitchen, as a contestant on MasterChef SA.

On Tuesday, Fourie appeared on the first episode of M-Net’s new reality cooking show, which saw contestants battling it out for a place in the MasterChef Bootcamp.

The  Cape Townian, who changed her name from Nel when she married, prepared a dish of pan-grilled salmon and citrus sauce with fresh pasta for the judges, and won a trip to Bootcamp for her trouble.

Before she started turning up the heat in the Masterchef Kitchen, Nel was burning up the covers of such prestigious magazines as Cosmopolitan lingerie and Vanity Fair, amongst others.
