The Huisgenoot Hart van Windhoek festival is back and once again there’s plenty of fun for the whole family.
The fiesta takes place on 7 and 8 September at the Doc Jubber sports grounds in Windhoek, Namibia. The full entertainment programme includes performances by more than 25 artists. And the best part is – tickets are cheaper this year!
Enjoy performances by Jakkie Louw, Spoegwolf, Theuns Jordaan, Juanita du Plessis, Riana Nel, Karen Zoid and Vusi Mahlasela, Hulle, Die Tuindwergies, Elvis Blue, Emo Adams, Bok van Blerk, Kurt Darren, Arno Jordaan, NRG and Nicholis Louw.
NAMA winner Linda will also be performing, as well as SA’s hot new act, Mi Casa. And if you love to braai, pick up tips from the masters at the semi-finals and finals of the Championship Boerewors competition.
About 20 000 people are expected to attend the festival which is in its third year running. Tafel Lager is the official drink for the festival and will be providing 100 meters of bar space – the longest bar Namibia’s ever seen! This year the bar stays open ’til 02:00, with foot-tapping bands and DJs to entertain guests ’til early morning. Shoprite Checkers will provide a food court with numerous stalls and the KidZone area will be bigger this year, with extra chairs and shaded areas.
Tickets are available at Computicket, branches of Shoprite and Checkers or at the gate, but those who buy early will pay less than those who buy on the day. Tickets range between N$80 and N$140 and children under 12 pay only N$25, with a nice lucky packet for them at the gate!
