Hotstix Mabuse Back at School

Musician Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse is a true reflection of what a role model is; he has now gone back to school to complete his high school qualification. Mabuse dropped out of school back in 1970 to pursue his music career. He is now recognised as the one of the world’s most admired and respected musicians.

Mabuse told Sowetan: “Returning to school is for me. But it’s not about me.”

He said he was very excited to see some of his friends impressed with the decision he took. He hopes to inspire young children out there to be the best they can be in life.

Mabuse has performed with some of best entertainers in the music industry like Mama Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and Paul Simon. He continues to create great South African music, which is loved all over the world.
