The Isidingo actress goes public about the rumours surrounding her love life, the part that changed her life, and what she’d do with R1 million.

On finding happiness…

I’m actually pretty darn happy. It’s one of the things I always say – whatever you do, make sure you’re happy!  I’ve gotten to a point in my career where I’ve always wanted to be. For as long as I can remember my goal was to be on Isidingo. My environment and the people I surround myself with make me happy.

On keeping her body fit and healthy

I love being in nature, so I hike a lot. I hate going to the gym – I don’t like the machines and how fake everything is. So I walk a lot – I walk with my sister every day.  I’m also a vegetarian so I eat very healthy foods by choice.

On playing a rebel ….

I auditioned for Isidingo a few times but none of the roles I auditioned for really suited me. As soon as I saw the script for Charlie I loved her. She’s crazy! You never know what she’s going to do. Even I’m shocked when I read the script!

I love that she doesn’t have any qualms about anything. She’s not homophobic – if she loves someone she loves them. Or, if she wants to work in a shebeen, she’ll work in a shebeen. She’s just a very free character and she always so much fun.

On the rumours between her and AKA…

Nothing’s happening! He actually tweeted me the other day and was like, ‘Have you seen this article?’ No – as far as I know he’s dating DJ Zinhle? So there’s definitely nothing going on.

On the Tropika Island of Treasure…

I’m really excited. I’m a big fan of Jamaica – it’s the one place I’ve always wanted to go. I can’t wait to meet the seven other contestants and to see what happens – all the drama and everything. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun…

On what she’d do with R1 million…

My sister and I have this idea that we’re going to travel Africa together but I’d probably end up giving the money to my parents. It sounds silly, but my dad’s an actor so the whole family kind of combines together. When I have money I’ll buy something, or when I’m struggling they help me. We all help each other out and I just think it would be such a nice gift for them.
