Longstanding Just Jinjer member, Brent Harris, popped into the East Coast Radio studios to chat about his new solo album…

It is called I’m Changing and it is an album he has put together with a band he has had for the past year or so, Brent Harris and Thee Jam.

The first single from the album is Contradiction which Brent describes as “a very complex song but a pretty cool, hip, fresh track.”

Brent goes on to say, “Now that I’m not doing Just Jinjer gigs until probably next year, all my focus and energy have been poured into this record and I’m very, very proud of it.”

He also lists the first track, I’m Changing, as his personal favourite.

Brent says putting the album together wasn’t without its challenges. “Not being in a band, doing everything myself, writing the songs, producing them, playing the drums, singing and percussion and finding the right guitar lines and bass lines for the song, it was very daunting and quite a huge undertaking. And that mixed with four or five gigs a week, it was brutal!”

Brent says a tour is definitely in the works and he will let us know when that’s happening. For now though, you will be able to get your hands on his album I’m Changing within the next month or so.
