Yesterday Lady Gaga fans were left frustrated, and most ticketless, as Computicket’s new ticketing system experienced numerous issues.
Many fans experienced extremely long waiting times and were faced with issues concerning their 3D Secure/Verified by Visa security checks.
Speaking on their Twitter and Facebook accounts last night, Computicket apologised for the glitches in their system. “We know it has been a very frustrating day for many of our customers and we are really sorry. Today there were problems that we experienced with the banking server that were out of our control and these problems continue.
“There will be tickets available tomorrow morning (20.06.12) through Computicket kiosks at Shoprite, Checkers & House & Home stores, as well as through our call centre. No further new online bookings will be processed until the banking issues have been resolved. When bookings open tomorrow through the stores, alternative payment methods will be available.”
Fans took to Twitter and Facebook to vent their frustration at not being able to access the site. Even Lady Gaga herself took to Twitter with the following comment:
“Just woke up to emails saying South African monsters crashed the online ticket servers due to high demand for TheBTWBall! I can’t believe it!”
Fans who have yet to get their tickets can do so today across all sales channels: Computicket kiosks, Shoprite, Checkers, House & Home, through the call centre, and online.
Good luck!
