Metrorail, a division of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA), will be transporting thousands of fans to the Linkin Park concert to be held on November 10 2012 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Special trains will be available for fans travelling from the East Rand, West Rand, and Pretoria directly to Nasrec Station, which is a five-minute walk from FNB stadium. In addition, a shuttle train service will operate between Johannesburg Park Station and Nasrec. Fans can purchase their tickets from Metrorail ticket offices at any stopping station, as below, of the special trains, at R40.00 for a return trip.

EAST RAND (Return trip from Springs to Nasrec):

One train will depart Springs at 14:45 via Brakpan, Benoni, Dunswart and Germiston, to reach Nasrec at 16:29.

WEST RAND (Return trip from Randfontein to Nasrec):

One train will depart Randfontein at 14:30 via Krugersdorp, Roodepoort, Maraisburg and Langlaagte, reaching Nasrec at 15:58.

PRETORIA (Return trip from Pretoria to Nasrec):

Two (2) trains will depart from Pretoria to Nasrec in the following order:

First train: Train number 2248 will depart from Rissik Station (near Loftus Versfeld stadium) at 14:30 via Pretoria, Centurion, Rhodesfield and Germiston arriving at Nasrec at 16:18.

Second train: Train number 2270 will depart from Pretoria Station at 15:00 via Centurion, Rhodesfield and Germiston arriving at Nasrec at 16:36.

JOHANNESBURG (Shuttles from Johannesburg to Nasrec):

There will be five dedicated train sets shuttling between Johannesburg Park Station and Nasrec. The shuttle trains will depart from Park Station at 13:00, 13:50, 14:40, 15:30 and 16:20. After the concert, all trains (00:30, 01:00 and 02:02) will return, via the same routes they came from, to their destinations.

So travel by train and avoid the hassle of traffic jams and parking worries and arrive on time.
