Miley Cyrus has thanked her fans for wishing her well on her engagement.

The ‘LOL’ actress became engaged to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth – who she met on the set of ‘The Last Song’ – last month but only recently unveiled the news, and she admits she is “happy” to finally do so.

She wrote on twitter: “thank you for all the love today. I’m happy to share this news with you all. I feel like all my dreams are coming true. have a great day(sic)”

Miley also thanked US actresses Jordin Sparks and Rita Wilson for their well wishes, adding: “@RitaWilson @jordinsparks thank u both so much (sic)”

Liam – the brother of ‘Thor’ star Chris Hemsworth – proposed to Miley with a 3.5 carat diamond ring on May 31. He previously revealed he couldn’t help but fall in love with her on the set of ‘The Last Song’.

He said: “What happened happened, and we’ve been together since. “She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you’re filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you’re not human if you don’t feel something.”
