Only days after The Wild was cancelled, Minnie Dlamini has confirmed that she will soon be leaving SABC1′s Mzansi Insider, with a new show in the pipeline.
After the soapie was canned and Dlamini’s departure from “Insider” , which she co-hosts with Phila Mazibuko, was confirmed, the actress was quick to assure both her fans and detractors that she wont be off our screens for long.
In fact, according to Dlamini, she has been hired to star in another programme on SABC1, though she is being somewhat cagey with the details.
The actress, who played Zintle Lebone on the M-Net channel’s soapie, told the Sowetan yesterday:
“I cannot reveal too much about what it is about, but it is going to be 100% my personality . [the] Minnie that is not dictated to by anyone.”
Asked whether the show was of the reality TV variety, Minnie chose not to answer. SABC1 also failed to provide any further details about the show.
However, the star’s publicist, Pumza Nohashe, was willing to share a few cryptic insights into the nature of the show: “We have been in talks with SABC1 since February. The public will see her many layers. She will have more input on the show and its content.”
We’re sure the public is anxious to see Dlamini’s “many layers” and that the show will enjoy some success.
Nohashe said the programme should be ready for screening towards the end of this year.
Dlamini, who is now also a DJ on Metro FM, recently co-hosted SABC1′s Live, alongside Bonang Matheba. She has also featured on the soapie Generations.
