The 6th annual MK Awards took place on Friday night in Pretoria, with few surprises when it came to handing out the gongs.
Usual suspects LocnVille, Van Coke Kartel, Jax Panik and Jack Parow all walked away with an award or two at the State Theatre, with the Afrikaans rapper taking home the ‘Best Hipster’ award, for being, well, the best hipster apparently.
Live performances from the likes of Parow, Die Heuwels Fantasties and Van Coke Kartel kept those in attendance entertained, while the event itself was broadcast live to viewers across South Africa.
Despite winning an award, British Pop Superstar Adele was not in attendance at the ceremony.
