Oscar Pistorius is certainly the man of the hour: after being the ambassador for Thierry Mugler’s headline men’s cologne, and being announced as GQ’s Best Dressed Man for 2011, the athlete is also one of the world’s most influential men, according to Ask Men.

Oscar appears at number 48 on the list, alongside the likes of Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg at number 26, Prince William at number seven and Steve Jobs at number one.

Askmen.com said Oscar was selected because of his performance at the IAAF World Championships in South Korea. The article says that, even though he only came eighth in the race, it was a victory for him, and he has reached for his dreams despite his disability, being an inspiration for everyone.

Oscar beat “Idols”-creator Simon Cowell.

Do you think Oscar deserves the accolade?
