Paralympics: SA’s Paul Just Misses Out

South Africa’s Kevin Paul has narrowly missed out on a medal after finishing fourth in the men’s 200m individual medley SM10 final at the Paralympics on Thursday.

The 21-year-old Paul finished in a time of 2:15.26.

Canada’s Benoit Huot won gold, setting a new world record with a time of 2:10.01. Brazil’s Andre Brasil was second in 2:12.36, while Australia’s Rick Pendleton pipped Paul for the gold medal in 2:14.77.

Earlier on Thursday, Paul reached the final by clocking a personal best time of time of 2:14.97.
