Zebra & Giraffe and Van Coke Cartel are two of the biggest rock acts in South Africa at the moment, and there is certainly nothing better than seeing both bands on one stage at the same time.
This is exactly their plan, as the two bands have embarked upon a national tour of South Africa together. Called the “Haal Asem Kwagga” tour, the event has been a popular subject on Twitter and Facebook.
Van Coke told TimesLive that the bands chose to play together because of the diversity of their styles and audiences. The bands connected when playing at Ramfest together and they are now halfway through their tour together.
The bands have also recorded a collaboration in honour of their tour together. Although there is as yet no certainty about where and when the track will be released, it is certain to be a popular addition to both band’s repertoires.
Be sure to catch the two bands at Town Hall in Newtown on Friday August 26 and at Arcade Empire in Pretoria on August 27.
